Cycling Fitness

Cycling is a great way to get in shape and stay in shape, and it is a great way to meet new people. So we are launching ourĀ Cycling Fitness Campaign. We want to encourage as many people as possible to get on their bikes and pedal off the pounds. We’ll all be working on this together, we are planning Cycling Fitness Retreats with nutritional advice, training plans and any other information you might need. We have Ride Leaders who will take you out either on one to one basis or as a small group to get you started, and give you any tips or advice.

I used to smoke 40 cigarettes a day, drink 2 bottles of wine and discovered cycling. I had to make a choice, quit the cigarettes or quit cycling – we knew which option I took there. After moving to Yorkshire, I had to climb hills and every extra kg you carry in weight is an extra kg you have to carry up that hill, so losing weight was my next goal, and I have done it, and still working to maintain it.

I recently qualified as a British Cycling Ride Leader Level 1 so I can take small groups out on my own, and we can plan the ride together to ensure you have the best time possible, it was something that I never saw myself doing, but I did it.
