We have been very lucky to have been on the roads of Fuerteventura. Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, and is in the Atlantic Ocean about 100km off the north coast of Africa so the climate is very hot during the summer, but its an ideal temperature for cycling for the rest of the year. The roads are really good and the island is the next up and coming cycling destination. When we visited there were quite a few teams training there, and apparently the Brownlee Brothers were training there. We stayed in Corrallejo in the North of the Island, which is about 25 minutes drive from the airport. Even on the way to the villa we saw so many riders out, so we just wanted to get on the bikes as soon as we arrived. We can arrange all the elements of a cycling holiday in Fuertevetura for you including car hire.
